Ministry of Agriculture and IFAD Align Intervention Strategy

The Ministry of Agriculture, led by Dr. J. Alexander Nuetah, is hosting a 4-day strategic planning retreat to align donor-funded projects with Liberia’s National Agriculture Development Plan (NADP), supporting President Joseph N. Boakai’s agenda.
Dr. Nuetah emphasized the importance of aligning donor funding with government priorities, ensuring better communication, procurement, monitoring, and legal oversight.
Pascaline Barankeba from IFAD affirmed support, stating that their upcoming Country Strategic Opportunity Program (COSOP) will align with the NADP.
The retreat gathers key stakeholders to evaluate project performance, address challenges, and develop strategic plans for the remaining project timelines.
Over 50 participants, including government officials and partners from various agricultural and environmental agencies, are attending to enhance Liberia’s agricultural development and sustainability.
