The fair is scheduled to take place in Ganta, Nimba County, from December 9 to 13, 2025, under the theme “Empowering Farmers, Enriching the Nation.” It will bring together farmers, agripreneurs, and development partners for a week of exhibitions, policy dialogues, youth competitions, and training sessions.

Launching the event, Dr. Nuetah said the fair will serve as a platform to showcase local production, agricultural innovation, and value addition, highlighting the sector’s growing role in Liberia’s economic transformation.

“When we empower farmers with the right tools and support, we empower the entire nation,” Dr. Nuetah stated.

This year’s fair will open with a National Extension Conference, bringing together agricultural officers from across Liberia to review progress and set priorities for the upcoming farming year.

The event is expected to be attended by His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, the Director-General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the President of Tuskegee University — the first historically Black university in the United States — along with several key development partners.

The fair will also feature awards for outstanding farmers and cooperatives in various categories, recognizing achievements in productivity, innovation, and sustainability.

Officials from the Ministry of Agriculture say reviving the National Agriculture Fair represents a major step in modernizing Liberia’s agriculture sector and celebrating the hardworking farmers who contribute to national food security and rural development.
